The GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® is a form of exercise which offers similar benefits also derived from yoga, Pilates, dance, swimming and tai chi. It is performed on specially designed equipment. GYROTONIC® exercises aid in circulation and mobility of the joints, create length and stability, and allow for a harmonious and balanced flow of energy, all while increasing flexibility, coordination and strength in a creative and enjoyable way. It is also beneficial for rehabilitating injuries and creating an awareness of the body. The GYROTONIC® Method is ideal for people of all ages and athletic abilities.
Allisyn Caro has been a professional dancer with Texas Ballet Theater since 2010. In 2012, Allisyn began practicing the GYROTONIC® method when an injury sidelined her dancing for a year. Through GYROTONIC® exercises, Allisyn has been able to keep her body healthy, strengthened, toned and increase her range of motion. Allisyn completed her training with Master Trainer Amy Ell of Vault Studios in Houston, Texas. Allisyn is excited to be bringing her knowledge of the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® to TBT and share it with others.
Carolyn Judson has been a professional ballet dancer with Texas Ballet Theater for 12 years. In 2007, she suffered a back injury which made her unable to dance for almost an entire ballet season. While in search for rehabilitation and a way to eliminate pain, she found the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®. It changed her ballet technique for the better and she has never had back pain since.
In 2014, Carolyn graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and started her own health coaching business, called Judson Holistic Health. In hopes to build upon her health coaching, as well as to help others rehab from injuries, create mind-body connections and build strength and flexibility, she decided to become certified in the GYROTONIC® Method. She trained in New York City with Master Trainer, Paola Rostagno-Lasky and in Houston, Texas with Master Trainer, Amy Ell and continues to train and learn as much as she can to pass on to her clients.
One hour private GYROTONIC® lessons are $50. Availability is limited, so schedule your session today!
