Atlanta, Georgia

When did you begin dancing?
I started dance when I was about three years old, and I have been dancing ever since.

Why did you begin dancing?
Well my mother put me in dance at a very young age, but I really started to love ballet when I performed Clara in The Nutcracker.

When did you join Texas Ballet Theater?

What is your favorite ballet to see?

What is your favorite ballet to perform/what is your favorite role you have performed?
My favorite role that I have performed so far would probably be the girl’s solo in Stanton Welch’s Time to Dance.

What surprised you the most about being a professional dancer?
How wonderful it is that even though you have set choreography it so interesting to see how other dancers perceive it. The way they move or by the way they show their emotion can be so different than how you would. These interpretations are what keep classic ballets new and keep repetition as a dancer fresh and exciting.

What is your favorite movie/TV show?
Movie: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and any Wes Anderson Movie TV show: Seinfeld and Parks and Recreation

What sound do you love?
I love the sound of Louis Armstrong on the trumpet.

What is something you enjoy doing outside of dancing?
I enjoy baking and listening to good music.

If you could have a vacation home, where would it be?
My vacation home would definitely be in the South of France.

What is your favorite part of a performance?
Being on stage with people who you grow to love as a family and being able to create a magical atmosphere for the audience.
